for the most part everything went well
The amps we received from service were locked, there computer interfaces came back locked. They were backwards, one was for the subs and one for mains.
This week:
Amps: Get all circuit boards changed out and up to date and unlocked
who: Donn is going to see if field services can do it all by Wednesday.
Booth: 1. Racks: locks for the doors
who: Forrest will try to get time to do this
2. Video Extension: probably next week on this one
Storage Room:
1. test everything and get rid of stuff
this will be an ongoing project
Chapel: 1. Carpet the booth
2. home for Mic's and batteries
A Project for you all to work on (deadline by thanksgiving)
SOP Standard Operating Procedures
Everyone of us needs to right down
a step by step process of what you do when you are operating your position.
From the time you get in to the time you leave. I mean each of us needs to do this because we may have different ways of operating on a Sunday morning.
Each Sound Tech operator will have to agree together on an SOP for Sound
Each Lighting Tech operator will have to agree together on an SOP for Lighting
Each Media Shout Tech operator will have to agree together on an SOP for Media Shout
Each Video Tech operator will have to agree together on an SOP for Video
example
sound: 1. power system up
2. amps on
3. grab Mic's, batteries, and toolbox
4. etc.
even indicate when you start recording, i prefer to start recording during special music
Media shout: i keep the scriptures up the whole time, i keep the scriptures up until he doesn't refer to them, i keep the scriptures up only when he reads them (this can go any and either way, but you media shout operators have to come to an agreement)obviously if Mark says keep it up during his message you might want to keep it up.
i prefer the worship leader to come back to me and show me song list, i prefer to go over and drag him over to the booth, i can just wing it.
Video: i like using the presets, i like to go freestyle with it, i prefer to keep scripture up the whole time, i prefer to keep it up until he goes to story, I'm not really sure. I'm fine with whatever. I choose to record at countdown, i record when sermon starts, etc.
Lance and Mark do prefer things a certain way. So we need to figure that out
So you guys get the point
You may decide that some details don't matter and are up to the operator that week. As long as you agree on that.
We need every ones SOP's so that we don't get stuck forgetting something on a chaotic Sunday morning and it can also answer questions that you may have about operating.
If anything the goal is to have these SOP's in the form of a checklist and rules for each position, so that we all know how to arrive, get started, operate during all conditions, and know when and we are actually ending the show.
sorry if i confused anyone ( i have a tendency to do that)
